Give Weeds a Chance

I read an article about gardening in a magazine the other day. It’s not about the favorite gardening bring us but raise a question why we should take gardening as a serious work. The article name is ‘Give Weeds a Chance’, in my view, it just extend an attitude about life, but not gardening itself. Copy the last paragraph below for considering. Your comment is appreicated.

Gardening feels redemptive, which may account for the odor of sanctity exhaled by so many gardeners. It seems like a selfless act; you’re improving your little corner of the world and working out at the same time. But gardening is just another luxury hobby, like getting a manicure or learning to make the perfect cassoulet. There’s nothing wrong with fancy pastimes; if we can indulge in them, we’re lucky. But we shouldn’t make them the excuse for declaring war on the natural world. Summers would be a lot more peaceful if we sat back and smelled the roses—even if all we have is clover.

Manĝado de Salo

Iam antaŭe, iu malsaĝulo gastis ĉe sia amiko. La amiko regalis lin per manĝaĵo. Li sentis la manĝaĵon sengusta, do la amiko aldonis iom da salo. La malsaĝulo gustumis la manĝaĵon kaj sentis, ke tio estas multe pli bongusta, li do pensis: "La manĝaĵo frandiĝas nur pro salo. Kun nur iom da salo tio fariĝas tiel bongusta, do kun pli da salo tio certe estos multe pli bongusta." Li estis tiel malsaĝa, ke li ekmanĝis nur salon. Tio difektis lian gustorganon kaj suferigis lin treege.
